Shouying may be better known as a UMPC, digital video camera and electronic cigarette maker, but now they’re entering the great slate beyond with their PID1110 Android tablet. This large-format tablet features a massive (in tablet terms) 11.6-inch display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. We’re not sure if it’s resistive or capacitive, but we’re sure hoping for the latter.
The Shouying PID1110 uses an IMAPX200 1GHz CPU (which we have to admit we’re completely unfamiliar with), 512MB of DDR2 RAM, internal storage options between 1GB and 8GB and is available in Android or Windows CE 6.0 versions. The PID1110 has HD video support and can play MP4, AVI (XVID, H.263, H.264, DIVX), 3GP, AC-1, MP3, WMA, WAV and AAC video and audio files. Rounding out the spec list is a USB and OTG port. Sadly there’s no HDMI currently listed, but we don’t have the complete spec list right now.

No news yet on release or pricing but you can bet it will hit the market soon at a reasonable price – Chinese-made products always do. Opinions on product reliability and performance, though, are up in the air until someone gets a hold of one.
